Natural Portland Green Eco-friendly Tips to unclog a drain

1.  Unclog a drain with your handy dandy plunger

The water pressure created by the plunger can be powerful enough to dislodge the many things that may clog up a drain.

2.  Unclog a drain with baking soda

By pouring 1 cup of baking soda down the drain followed by a cup of boiling hot water; this combination may dissolve the grease and grime while increasing the efficacy of the baking soda as well.

2.  Unclog a drain using a vinegar mix

To make a vinegar and baking soda-based drain cleaner, you’ll need:

    • 1 cup of baking soda or sodium bicarbonate
    • 2 cups of boiling hot water
    • 1 cup of vinegar

Pour the baking soda down the drain and follow it up with the hot water, and then chase this solution down with one cup of vinegar. Vinegar and baking soda react to create a fizzing action which can unclog the drain while the hot water will melt away the grease and soapy scum, yay high school chemistry 😀 !
