Water Heaters
Water Heaters
The two types of water heaters we carry are your traditional storage tank water heaters and tankless water heaters.
The storage tank water heaters are your most common water heaters due to its affordability on the unit and installation. The water heater can either use natural gas or electricity. These water heaters store hot water in the storage tank so that it may be readily available. One disadvantage of this type of water heater is that the water does need to be reheated to the desire temperature when not in use. causing more energy consumption. However, we do carry a variety of different energy efficiency water heaters.
The other type of water heater is the tankless water heater. While a tankless water heater costs more upfront, your operating costs down the line should start to compensate for the initial cost. The tankless water heater provide hot water on demand, instantaneously (since you don’t have a huge tank), therefore you don’t have to waste energy heating unused water. Even though the lifespan of tankless water heater averages about 20 years, versus the traditional water heaters between 10-13 years, tankless water heaters can be costly to fix and can not produce the same amount of hot water at a given time compared to traditional water heaters. It all depends on your household and the amount of water consumption.
