Shower Heads

Shower heads often gets clogged due to the calcium and other mineral deposits found naturally in the water.  Fortunately, All Pro Plumbing tips are here to help.  Here is an eco-friendly all natural solution to clogged shower heads.

Items needed:

1) White vinegar

2) Small bag

3) Rubber band

Simply, fill your bag about half way with vinegar and fasten the bag to the clogged shower heads.  Do this by placing the mouth of the bag over the shower head and tying it tightly with the rubber band.  Make sure the shower heads are fully immersed in the vinegar, to enable the vinegar to break down the minerals.  Let the vinegar sit for 12-24 hours, and depending on the severity of the mineral deposits you may need to use some baking soda and a toothbrush in addition to the vinegar.  Just sprinkle the baking soda onto the shower head after you have soaked the vinegar and scrub away.  And that’s it!  You should only need to do this once a year depending on how hard your water is.
